A Spouse's Story: How Personal Care Became So Much More
Caregivers often do so much more than provide care. They are companions, friends and, often times, become family, to those in their care. The stories we receive from families all over the country are often so touching, and for this very reason. Caregiver compatibility is so crucial to the experience and, when you find it, it can - and often does - change peoples' lives. A recent caregiver story we received illustrates this very thing:
"I am writing this email to let you know what an impact your services have made on my family. We have been using Patrick several days per week to assist my husband who is disabled. My husband had his legs crushed 30+ years ago and his shoulders are in bad shape from constantly using his upper extremities. He can walk very short distances and predominantly uses an electric wheelchair. Patrick has changed our lives."
